As your commute went from the subways and the highways to the hallways of your home, you may have lost touch with the routines you have had for years.
Safety and feeling secure can be found in our underlying routines.
Routines and structure are the answers to “What do I do?” and “When do I do it?”
They are the keys to productivity.

You can schedule calls and interactions with others if needed between 9:10 am ET – 10:25 am ET / 2:10 pm ET – 3:25 pm ET and 10:35 am ET – 11:50 am ET / 3:35 pm ET – 4:50 pm ET.
(Yes, you can work in the room AND do these other interactions at the SAME TIME. You can even have another Zoom meeting on another device (even using the same Zoom account you have!) while still working in the room with others.)

The Make It Happen Room was inspired by an Op-Ed written in The New York Times by Olivia Judson, a writer and scientist in Berlin, entitled “Working at Home? Self-Isolation Doesn’t Have to Be Lonely,” that was published on March 16, 2020.
My husband shared this article with me. When I read it, I turned to him, smiled, and said, “That’s a business …and I could create that dynamic community for people so they could get their stuff done!”
I saw lots of emails that invited me to virtual dance parties, meditations, yoga, bootcamps and tea parties with friends on Zoom and webinars about the CARE Act and other information that may or may not apply to me. I didn’t see anything that was really about cultivating a culture of community, high productivity, and accountability fused with fun, learning and getting my stuff done.
I thought something called “Make It Happen” would ignite the spark to help others get into action and do what they are talented to do, to find fun in the midst of doldrums of the pandemic’s “lockdown life”, to plug into a community of like-minded individuals who were also seeking an environment that would encourage them to focus so they could carve out the time they needed to get things done amidst the distractions of becoming their own housekeeper, chef, nanny, schoolteacher and dog walker. I wanted it to be valuable, smart, sustainable and scalable.
Governor Andrew M. Cuomo of the great State of New York (where I live) inspired me to reimagine my business and how I could harness my talents, skills and strengths to help others. The Make It Happen Room was what bubbled up to the top of my priorities to develop and create – so I could help others do the same: harness your talents, skills and strengths to make things happen in your life, no matter what, so you can live the life you imagine.
I hope you’ll join me for a ride in The Make It Happen Room!

The Make It Happen Room
Each session is 3 hours – for $20. That’s 11 cents for every minute you spend in The Make It Happen Room.
The first 9 minutes you get things done in the room during every session will be donated to help others who are supporting you so you can be in the room …safe and sound, away from the chaos caused by the virus, catastrophe caused by today’s and yesterday’s news, and calamity caused by the upheaval of the routines you had before and the sudden changes in your daily life and family life. We acknowledge and recognize the frontline workers who keep you safe, fed, and cared for each day while you get things done in The Make It Happen Room. We honor and support them as our thanks for their support for you.
$1 from every session purchased will be donated to a First Responder or Front Line Worker fund. Each week the fund receiving the donation will be chosen by one of the participants in the sessions that week. What type of funds? Funds like the Governor of New York has set up for first responders and front line workers and their families, the Red Cross to support blood donations and staff to continue to collect these, bona fide local efforts to feed front line workers, and others. This encourages participants to (a) stay home, (b) be productive at home in The Make It Happen Room, and (c) donate to do their part to help those on the front lines in every role by purchasing and participating in their sessions.
The Make It Happen Room is launching amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. It is only right that we give back to those who are making it possible for us to stay home, stop the spread, save lives, and live the lives we imagine.
Mark Twain
