When I was selected to present the senior values speech to our college prep school audience, grades 7 – 12. It was quite a presentation: I talked about honesty, integrity, being true to yourself and never giving up.
I demonstrated at 16 the many hats we all wear as people. Even then, I had a great understanding of the variety of roles and responsibilities we take on in our lives. I juggled, sang “Blowin’ in the Wind” unplugged and really wowed the audience with a well-rounded, complete presentation. A well-respected teacher of mine was so impressed, he talked to my mother after I was done about how extraordinary I was.
